WHAT IS VIN DE SOIF?
Literally “Wine of Thirst”, the term vin de soif has come to symbolize the way we look at wine. A vin de soif is one that is thirst-quenching or drinking well. Unlike the similar English term, “Quaffer”, vin de soif, though playful, implies a certain reverence for wine, because it is not created, but raised; not researched, but pondered; not consumed, but enjoyed.
It’s a term that lacks pretention, but not seriousness.
Wine is about enjoyment, discovery and joy, but also respect.
